Contributing
These guides are for developers working on SPLENT itself. They cover how to test the CLI and the framework, and what to run before a release.
Submitting a change
Every SPLENT repository lives in the splent-io organisation on git.splent.io. Work on a branch and open a pull request there.
Before you open it, run the repository’s tests and lint with Ruff.

ruff format --check
Use the Ruff the CLI pins in its dev extra, ruff==0.11.8, since the formatter’s output changes between releases. The release pipeline runs the same two checks before the tests, and stops when either fails.
